JOB TITLE : Reporting Automation Manager (BI)

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Reporting automation manager will play a key role in enabling data driven story telling in BAT. This role will be responsible to manage a team of BI developers and give necessary technical leadership to enable PowerBI delivery of Descriptive and Diagnostic Dashboards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PowerBI development (backend and frontend), PowerPlatforms in General (Fabrics, Dataverse, PowerApps and PowerAutomate), Continuous Improvement Mindset and a good understanding on how to operate Azure DevOps to manage agile projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust and efficient PowerBI deployment pipeline, as well as ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our PowerBI production systems.
Additionally, this role is also responsible for automating the deployment process, identifying and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks. This role will be an internal client facing role as involvement in solutioning, and change managent as required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Proven track record in End to End Dashboard Development SDLC (Data to Dashboard), Strong developing knowledge of PowerQuery, M Language, DAX and PowerBI functions is a must
- Develop and maintain a robust and efficient PowerBI deployment pipeline using Azure DevOps
- Lead, coach and manage team to deliver BI products using agile methodology
- Collaborate with the clients and the development team to ensure that PowerBI applications are deployed in a way that is consistent with best practices for security and performance
- Provide technical leadership to the development team and act as the escalation point during development
- Contribute in High Level Engagement and collaborate with Business Analyst to perform feasibility study, delivering POC and provide consultation and recommendation to stakeholders
- Proven track records in developing dashboard with multiple data sources and communicate requirements to Data Anlyst or relevant team
- Perform diagnostic on existing excel reports, develop solutions, perform implementation and monitor validation processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance
- Collaborate with Data Analyst and Platform Team to enable rapid BI Developments
- Define and maintain internal processes and quality standards documentation to ensure process controls and audits are up to date and aligned to BAT standards
- Contribute in the development of SDLC, Project Governance Files and Templates
- Build data governance checkpoints and contribute in building Operating Model
- Effectively manage multiple stringent project timelines in fast paced business environment
- Continuously Improve team ways of working and operating model to ensure effective and efficient delivery
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Degree in Data Science, Marketing, Finance, Analytics or related field
- At least 4-5 years proven track records in developing BI projects with at least 1-2 years of team management experience
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Azure DevOps Certification/ Hands-on experience
- Strong Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, and Resouceful Mindset
- Experience in using direct query with Database Infrastructure i.e. Snowflake, Azure Blob
- Strong Expertise in using PowerBI, including integration with PowerApps and PowerAutomate are preferred
- Proven track records in delivering multiple BI projects with various complexity
- Hands-on Developing Experience with Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerBI, Sharepoints, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, Excel Macro, PowerQuery)
- Comfortable with numbers and good analytical sense
- Experience in developing product using agile methodologies and ways of working
Desirable Requirement :
- Having Scrum Master/ Project Management Experience
- Good Understanding of Data Structure, Transformation and Architecture
