BAT’s Digital Business Solutions KL Hub has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern – Product Costing in Malaysia.
This role requires support to handle the tasks in Product Costing, opportunity to obtain and strengthen the knowledge for internal and external analytics approaches within the business environment.
Allowance: RM1,500.00 Monthly

Geographic Scope: APMEA(Sub-Saharan Africa)
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) costing, ensuring accurate product cost calculations.
- Support period-end closing activities, including Material Ledger processing, ensuring timely and accurate financial postings.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting, leveraging SAP-ECC and other reporting tools.
- Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations related to product costing and investigate discrepancies.
- Analyze and clear balance sheet accounts, ensuring transactions are correctly classified.
- Assist in audit processes by preparing financial data and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to migration projects, facilitating the smooth transition of finance tasks from end markets to Global Business Services (GBS).
- Participate in testing of new systems, technologies, and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide backup support to Team Leads/Assistant Managers when necessary.
- Maintain KPI performance in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with end markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end markets and cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration.
- Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness in GBS Finance.
What are we looking for?
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of SAP, Python, or data analytics tools is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A monthly allowance of RM1,500.
- Exposure to global finance operations and hands-on experience with SAP-ECC.
