British American Tobacco Switzerland has an exciting opportunity for a Customs & Tax Executive in Boncourt.
Manage all direct and indirect tax activities for BAT Switzerland, who owns a Tax Warehouse based in Boncourt (JU).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure Boncourt tax warehouse complies with customs rules based on the reception report.
- Oversee and monitors compliance with Indirect (VAT, Excise and customs), direct Tax regulations (cantonal and federal)
- Act as single point of contact for all indirect and direct tax related matters towards the authorities
- Responsible for Tax Assessments / Audits under the various Indirect & Direct Tax regulations
- Support requirements associated with the month-end financial closure and responsible for budgeting & forecasting direct tax
- Responsible for SOX controls related to customs & taxes
- Overall tax & customs support for the business unit on special projects
- Drive Tax committees at least bi-annually
- Manage the customs clearance team
- Support Trademark companies direct and indirect tax compliance
- Participate in warehouse inventory count verification process
What are we looking for?
- University degree (Finance, Tax) and related work experience
- Understanding of BAT structures & financial policies and procedures in relation with role
- Fluency in computer programs & systems: MS Office especially Excel; BPC; SAP ECC; Dacosoft.
- Sound analytical skills with figures
- Able to communicate effectively with management on financial matters: understand issues, be understood on response
- Able to influence at all levels within the organisation
- French mother tongue, a good working knowledge of English is also required
