British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Junior Manager in Bucharest

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Quarterly/monthly issuing of intercompany invoices for various types of recharges and correspondence with the Intercompany affiliates;
  • Drive the analysis and review of actual company revenues and ensure the accuracy of the financial data posted in SAP;
  • Ensure there are contracts/ supporting documents in place for recharge purposes;
  • Support on analysis of the annual budget and SOPs financial information, obtain clarification where needed and prepare presentation summaries;
  • BPC input of intercompany transactions for both PL and BS;
  • Cash management both for forecast and actuals ensure cash flow accuracy and timely recovery of due amounts from intercompany vendors by doing constant follow-up
  • Perform monthly accruals calculation. Ensure the accuracy of the financial data posted and actively monitor the accruals balance;
  • Ensuring creation of cost centres and work breakdown structures in line with business needs and BAT hierarchy;
  • Support provided to Corporate Finance Manager for underlying assumption analysis (allocation keys, cost by service line);
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with internal customers (other BAT Entities) by timely submission of required information and any requested details;
  • Provide support and advice to other departments in GBS;
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as required for planning scenarios;
  • Reviews the accuracy and completeness of data received;

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a global FMCG company or in a similar dynamic environment in automation developments
  • A financial background with a professional accountancy qualification, relevant university degree
  • Practical experience in applying this finance knowledge in business projects & change process implementations as well as managing financial results
  • Analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to bring expert advice and problem-solving skills to the Finance function
  • Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice
  • Understand and apply relevant financial skills and knowledge  
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet and general computer skills, including SAP and BP
  • Must be self-motivated, meet high professional standards and be able to focus on the levels of service offered to internal higher stakeholders
  • Business Partnering skills - ability to develop good working relationship with key stakeholders (finance team, taxation, audit)
  • Pays attention to details, critical thinker, proactive, ability to rapidly adapt and assimilate knowledge
