ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

The role of D&A Activation Senior Manager is to be the Data & analytics partner for the DRBU as part of the global D&A Organization. The role will be accountable to activate key D&A capabilities in the market ensuring synergies across DRBU and regions. This includes identifying demand from the region, work with global D&A product teams to productize the demand and then implement the product in the respective DRBU.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

In this role, you are expected to build lasting relationships with partners across different DRBUs and help the markets to solve problems using D&A solutions and generate value from deployed products. Activation team is also responsible for product feedback to support product team in life-cycle management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Act as the main contact person for all data and analytics initiatives in the respective Market(s).
  • Build long lasting relationship with key collaborators across Market and Global teams based on trust and quality of service.
  • Lead E2E deployment of products/projects within Markets & supervising progress making sure requirements are defined in right level of detail and scope.
  • Consolidate & help classify Data & Analytics demands and follow through the demand management process.
  • Lead requirement gathering for approved demands and develop business requirement documents.
  • Engage & handle global stakeholders with the skill to translate business problems into D&A asks and D&A outcomes to business solutions.
  • Participate in cross departmental meetings and translate business sentiments and challenge areas into analytical road maps that proactively supports the business with data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead adoption of D&A solutions within the Market(s) by defining the right usage KPIs & deliver feedback to run product life cycle.
  • Be the change agent and driving force to deliver outstanding solutions that provides driven edge for BAT.
  • Follow agreed processes to deliver outcomes efficiently with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Embody the – D&A culture and ways of working and strive to constantly work towards creating a better D&A brand within the company.
  • Lead & mentor team members to help them ramp-up into the organization.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required \ Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Educational qualifications: Graduate in Computer Science/ Statistics / Economics / Analytics / Management or related.
  • + 8 years hands on experience in data & analytics, experience in CPG companies is preferred.
  • + 5 years of experience in leading & engaging global stakeholders independently.
  • + 2 years in project management with good understanding of agile project management principles.
  • + 5 years of experience working on projects leveraging data, insights and analytics, preferably in a retail, brand manufacturing or consumer-facing company, or as a consultant servicing clients in this space
  • + 1-2 years of experience leading a team or mentoring analysts
  • Strong project management and team management skills and ability to work with global teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas & solutions is an absolute must.
  • Business acumen and the ability to understand and translate business needs into analytical projects.
  • Delivering in ambiguous & dynamic situations as a part of a global multi-functional team by building partnerships & working diplomatically
  • Ability to work with IT and Data Engineering teams to help embed analytic outputs in business processes.
  • Advanced MS Office would be necessary.
  • Drives innovation & knowledge sharing
  • Intellectually curious, with an interest in how data science, Machine Learning and AI can be leveraged to derive business value
