ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
The NPI Manager will be responsible for managing the operational delivery and project management within the New Product Introduction (NPI) function operated by APMEA WEST Region.
Reports to: Area NPI Deployment Manager
Reporting Level: Individual Contributor
Geographic Scope: Local
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery of all assigned projects, managing complex projects independently and efficiently.
- Oversee end-to-end project management for NPI deployment, including alignment, reporting, and decision-making for commercial business partners.
- Develop and monitor full project plans with functional experts, ensuring adherence to schedules and timely visibility of project status.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams and functions to resolve project issues, secure necessary support, and facilitate informed decision-making.
- Manage project costs and budget, including tooling, trials, and write-offs, using effective tools to optimize resources.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining strong relationships with business partners and the NPI community.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, data privacy, security, and internal controls.
- Coach and motivate team members, ensuring timely delivery of all project deliverables and accelerating overall team performance.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- Delivering in ambiguous & dynamic situations as a part of a global multi-functional team by building partnerships working diplomatically
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence without authority and effectively navigate cross-cultural environments.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, lead larger teams, and ensure OTIF delivery.
- Comprehensive understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in operational delivery, ideally within a shared service center, with senior stakeholder management.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills, thriving under pressure and in ambiguous situations, with a "can-do" attitude.
- Leadership qualities, including a passion for developing managers and SMEs, and guiding teams through new ways of working.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and operations, with a disciplined approach to documentation and records management.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and cultures, with a hands-on approach to delivering results under tight timelines.
