WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Install / CARE Packing Maintenance Specialist
FUNCTION: Operations
LOCATION: RJRT Tobaccoville
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring using various instruments.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
- Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Must be certifiable on all types of fork trucks, man lifts, walk behind Lizards, and working from heights
- Use of hand tools / power tools and rigging equipment daily as needed
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Safely disassemble, rig, and prepare equipment for transport
- Install equipment per engineering layout
- Field design changes / ergonomics
- Commission and Qualify equipment
- Use of fork truck
- Knowledge of weight of equipment, balancing
- Time management – schedule attainment
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Three years’ Making or Packing Specialist experience with legacy or high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrate working experience as a high-skilled Maintenance Specialist
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Able to interpret mechanical drawings
- Able to interpret CADD drawings
- In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field or related certifications is a plus
- Fully Qualified Mechanical Packing Specialist with 3 plus years experience
BENEFICIAL
- Proficient use of hand and power tools
- Familiar with the use of all types of fork lifts, man lifts and walk behind lizards.
- Familiar with the removing, installing and transporting machinery
