British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Planning & Reporting Assistant Manager in Heredia

Planning & Reporting Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization’s planning and reporting functions are effectively managed, supporting strategic decisions with accurate data and insights, and contributing to overall business performance and efficiency.

The role is responsible to proactively manage and deliver the Group´s management and statutory reporting information in line with the established service level agreements with the End Markets.  This management and statutory reporting information will include financial data and scenarios, SOP exercises, budget information for both P&L and cash flow, as well as assumptions and other data inputs related to the forecasting process.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Review financial statements for actual/planning reporting and provide approval for weekly/monthly reports.
  • Coordinate forecast planning cycles and financial reviews, engaging different stakeholders.
  • Coordinate half year/full year reporting cycles and financial reviews, engaging different stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance and sensitivities monthly across all P&L lines for actuals, budget, latest forecasts, and prior years for every end market.
  • Review and provide accurate and timely monthly variance data and root cause analysis for volume, revenue, and cost of sales, and engage with different stakeholder.
  • Promote standardization, automation and simplification of processes which fall within the boundaries of the Planning & Reporting area.
  • Ensure a controlled environment for the Planning & Reporting Team to prevent any potential control breaches.
  • Manage and lead team and provide coaching.

What are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a multinational company in Financial Planning / Accounting
  • Knowledge of statutory and management accounting principles for the countries within Americas.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Good knowledge of SAP preferred. BPC knowledge is very desirable.
  • Strong customer focus (partner centric)
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • University degree (Accounting, Economics or Finance).
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English level 95%+)
