KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop, manage, and implement Key Account distribution channel plans, strategies, and Trading Terms architecture to drive sustainable, profitable relationships.
- Lead and implement strategic Business Critical Projects, from conception to operational implementation, ensuring alignment across functions and partners.
- Drive account management excellence through the development of Key Account Plans, achieving sales, volume, and share targets across categories.
- Lead and coach account teams, fostering career development and ensuring robust team performance and succession planning.
- Partner with internal teams (Category Management, Marketing Deployment) and retailers to build category growth and establish BATNZ as a leader with vision in FMCG.
- Negotiate trading terms, manage trade spend, and ensure maximum return on investment through accurate forecasting and efficient resource allocation.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly in New Categories like vaping, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Build and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key accounts, partners, and industry associations to advance BATNZ’s market position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account/category management or a similar role within the FMCG sector.
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated business and commercial acumen, including experience with financial principles like TCI and SONA.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
- Experience in managing strategic partnerships and delivering successful business outcomes.
- Knowledge or experience in New Categories (e.g., vaping) and a track record of driving innovation and efficiency in distribution strategies.
