BAT TURKEY IS LOOKING FOR A CORPORATE FINANCE MANAGER!
SENIORITY LEVEL: Mid-Level Management
FUNCTION: Finance
LOCATION: Istanbul, Turkey
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role is part of Turkey Corporate Finance Team.
The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively support the delivery of Statutory & Management Reporting (actual financials) and drive operational improvements. This role’s day-to-day focus is liaising between Accounting, Tax and Corporate Finance to ensure timely and accurate Group Financial Reporting and working with the market to deliver robust and agile financial forecasting, reporting, and meaningful analysis, mainly for senior finance collaborators and key business meetings.
Reports to: Cluster Senior Corporate Finance Manager
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Leading and ownership of month-end closing activities and actuals reporting of statutory and management financials such as profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Leading and ownership of company’s general & administrative expenses budgeting and reporting
- Overseeing and managing financial statements with an ability to analyze the actual/budget variances, journal entries and bridge IFRS and local-GAAP.
- Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported, in accordance with company policies and accounting standards (IFRS and local-GAAP).
- Investigating and responding to ad-hoc queries by group statutory team related to financial reporting across profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow etc.
- Liaising between accounting and corporate finance to ensure timely and accurate group financial reporting.
- Monitoring the latest updates in accounting standards and regulations to make necessary adjustments when required.
- Operating internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting in scope of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
- Leading external and internal audit engagement
- Other ad-hoc tasks requested by Head of Finance/senior stakeholders
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration/economics/accounting/finance.
- At least 7 years of finance/accounting experience in global FMCG industry.
- Advanced IFRS knowledge (Turkish GAAP knowledge is a plus)
- Proficiency in SAP modules and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent command of verbal and written English
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization & experience in managing senior stakeholders.
- Professional accountancy qualification is a plus (i.e. SMMM, /ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience in Big 4 is a plus.
